Making a claim
Since the enactment of the Package Travel, Package Holiday and Package Tour Regulations 1992 and the 4th European Union Motor Insurance Directive 2003 many holidaymakers are now able to make a claim in the UK for injuries they have suffered in an accident abroad. This means that the claim is brought in England which obviously holds more benefits and convenience for the person making the claim. It is much easier to make a holiday injury claim in the UK rather than abroad because you don't have to worry about the language barrier or travelling abroad if you want to meet your legal representation in person. Also the amount of compensation you can achieve in the UK may be greater then if you were to make the claim where the accident happened
